Why We Choose Not to Microchip Our Puppies

At Lakewood Ranch Doodles, we have made the conscious decision not to routinely microchip our puppies.

Over our many years working with dogs and their families, we have had numerous clients tell us about health problems they believe occurred following microchip implantation. These reports have included tumours developing in the area of an implanted microchip as well as serious neurological complications, including paralysis.

These experiences have contributed significantly to our concerns about routinely implanting a foreign object beneath the skin of our puppies.
