💗 Benadryl® (Diphenhydramine)
Uses
- Allergic reactions
- Bee stings
- Itching
- Hives
Dose
- 1 mg per pound of body weight
- Every 8–12 hours
Example
- 25 lb dog = 25 mg
- 50 lb dog = 50 mg
⚠️ May cause drowsiness.
💊 Buffered Aspirin
Uses
- Temporary pain relief
- Minor inflammation
Dose
- 5–10 mg per pound every 12 hours
⚠️ Use only under veterinary guidance.
⚠️ Never combine with other pain medications.
🤢 Dramamine® (Dimenhydrinate)
Uses
- Motion sickness
- Car travel nausea
Dose
- 2–4 mg per pound every 8 hours
Give 30–60 minutes before travel.
❤️ Pepcid AC® (Famotidine)
Uses
- Acid reflux
- Upset stomach
- Mild gastritis
Dose
- 0.25–0.5 mg per pound every 12–24 hours
💩 Pepto-Bismol®
Uses
- Diarrhea
- Mild digestive upset
Dose
- Approximately 1 teaspoon per 10 pounds

⚠️ Avoid if your dog is taking aspirin products.
🩹 Hydrocortisone Cream
Uses
- Minor skin irritation
- Bug bites
- Itchy spots
Apply a thin layer to affected area.
⚠️ Prevent licking.
🤮 Hydrogen Peroxide (3%)

- Occasionally used to induce vomiting when specifically instructed by a veterinarian.
